April is a native of California who first moved to Vermont in 1991. She worked at Copley Hospital as a Birthing Center nurse for 11 years before returning to school. She was inspired to become a midwife by her own birthing experience and the wonderful care she received. She enjoys caring for women across the life span, and including women and their families as members of the health care team. April is board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
April lives in Waterville with her husband, Chase, a ski patroller, and their three children. She enjoys the outdoors, including kayaking, skiing, hiking, and gardening.
