Annual Golf Scramble Nets Over $26,000 for Copley Hospital

Sixty-eight golfers enjoyed sunshine, a light breeze, and perfect course conditions at the Copley Country Club for Copley Hospital’s 37th Annual Golf Scramble, Saturday, July 13, 2024. Thanks to twenty-two generous sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor Connor Contracting Inc., and players, the event netted more than $26,000 for Copley’s Emergency Department.

“Events like the Golf Scramble show us how much support exists for Copley Hospital – for providers and staff and the care they provide every day,” said Emily McKenna, Copley Hospital’s Executive Director of Development, Marketing & Community Relations. “At the end of the day, we announced the five teams with the lowest net scores and distributed prizes. The big winner, though, was Copley Hospital. With funds raised at the Scramble and the Stowe Art, Wine & Food event in June, we are very close to reaching the $75,000 goal to purchase bedside monitors for our Emergency Department. The Gravel Grinder, on Saturday, October 5, should put us over. I am so appreciative of our generous community and their continued support of Copley.”

Copley Hospital would like to recognize Presenting Sponsor Connor Contracting Inc. and Platinum Sponsors Union Bank, Smugglers’ Notch Resort, HUB International, The Richards Group, and LN Consulting. In addition, we want to thank Copley Country Club’s Course Superintendent Brant Slayton for his leadership and support for our golfers throughout the day, the team at Copley Country Club, and the Veranda for a delicious post-Scramble lunch. Thanks, also, to our Gold, Hole and Silver sponsors, and the local businesses that continue to support the Scramble through foursome sponsorships. Special thanks goes to Lamoille Valley Chevrolet, the longstanding hole-in-one sponsor.

Five teams with lowest-net scores were recognized and awarded gift carts from local businesses.
